THE POWER OF STORY
An action research project...
Q- How and to what
extent does the use of story, cognitively and affectively engage the students in
their learning, and connect them to their school?
Through the use of an action research cycle, the concepts of identity, pride, connectedness and affective and cognitive engagement will all be explored. The Power of Story, will focus on the use, creation, sharing and impact that story has on student learning and engagement.
This website will provide readers and collaborators a place to share information and knowledge as well as questions and wonderings. It will endeavor to build a collective understanding of STORY.

About me...
Helen Otway
My career in education began in a primary school as an art teacher. My love of the arts soon moved to an interest in multi-media and film making, when I studied for my B.Ed. Now as a principal, studying my MSL, I am becoming more aware of the deeper stories that form within us and our communities.
